Kyneton Cup
Held at the spectacular Kyneton and District racing Club on November 2nd was one of the Spring Carnival’s premiere country racing events, the Tooheys New Kyneton Cup. The Kyneton racecourse is arguably one of the states most picturesque country racing venues and is traditionally a popular day out for racing fans. This year was no exception with a large festive crowd enjoying the days activities. The event entertained locals as well as racing enthusiasts from Melbourne and interstate.
Punters were treated to perfect spring weather, a carnival atmosphere and an exciting day of racing. There was every opportunity to back a winner! The Kyneton District Racing Club did, as promised, showcase the absolute best of Spring Carnival Country Racing: a quality field of horses, fine food and wine, fashions on the field, and the marquees.
The event also showcased a range of other regional initiatives including the Triplehill Accommodation Booking Service. Located in the main food court area the Triplehill Accommodation Booking Service Marquee provided the perfect site for promoting the region, the quality accommodation venues available, and importantly the Racebook Giveaway Competition conducted by Triplehill. Several accommodation getaway prizes were offered as well as a dinner for two at Quintessence Bistro & Café, and a massage.
Having the promotional marquee and conducting the Racebook Giveaway drew significant interest and also allowed the opportunity to showcase future accommodation/racing specials offered by the Triplehill Accommodation Booking Service in conjunction with Racing Victoria.

Christmas Raceday
The next Country Racing Accommodation Package is for the Christmas Raceday Meet held at the picturesque Kyneton Racetrack in December 2005.
There are one and two night accommodation specials with accommodation available from a range of participating venues in the Macedon Ranges. The package includes two tickets into the Christmas raceday meet, transfers to and from the races, and a 10% discount on dinner at Quintessence at Kyneton. Package prices are dependant upon the accommodation options selected.
